The Leadership Experience
Twenty two undergrads arrived in Washington D.C. without having known of each other previously. Almost everyone came from different colleges and backgrounds, but shared the brotherhood of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. This seemed to be enough.Throughout the days that we spent, traveling together around the nation’s capital, we learned about each others’ respective chapters, experiences, and values. But most importantly, we formed bonds that will hopefully last, or at least memories that we will be able to talk about when we grow old. Seeing the sights, the memorials, the pieces of art scattered throughout the city, and taking pictures with a fantastic group of gentlemen posed together like the proud Delts that we are was one of the greatest gifts that Delta Tau Delta could have given us.Learning the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People taught us valuable life lessons in communication and organization, but also in human interaction. Having the opportunity to work alongside one another for the common purpose of self-improvement gave our group of men added confidence and the skills that we will need to navigate the world ahead of us. Those that came to speak to us taught us about what to look forward to and how to handle situations that we may encounter in our futures. The friendships that we formed and the entertaining situations and jokes that we will always remember made our experience at the Capital Leadership Academy an worthwhile experience. We came together and experienced an amazing part of our nation’s history, while simultaneously learning about ourselves and each other. For all of this, we thank Jeremy Berggren and Matt Kozlowski for running such an amazing class and tour of D.C., as well as all of those that spoke to us, the amazing gentlemen who came together for this experience, and to Delta Tau Delta Fraternity for making such a level of brotherhood possible. May this tradition live on.

Sadly, I apparently don’t know how to separate paragraphs. They didn’t look like they were all together when I was typing all of that.
